The biggest difference between these two types of brainwave audios is that you must listen to binaural beats with headphones. This is due to the fact that two separate frequencies are played in each ear, tuning your brain into the frequency that is the difference between the two.

Isochronic tones are actually a more effective type of brainwave entrainment. This method uses equal intensity pulsing tones that synchronize your brainwaves to the rhythm. The nice thing about isochronic tones is that you do not have to use headphones.

Personally, I can’t fall asleep wearing headphones since I sleep on my side, so I go with the isochronic tones. You can give them both a try to see which one you like better, but they both work to help you relax and fall asleep.
